OMAHA, Nebraska — Omaha Police say, Jeremiah Plater, 22, shot at the Bucky’s near 102nd and Maple late Thursday night has died.

Officers received the call and rushed to the scene right before midnight.

Plater was taken to the hospital with critical injuries and later was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Officers on scene said Plater was pumping gas when three shots rang out. The victim was hit in the chest/abdomen area.

Several officers were also called to the hospital to pick up witnesses. They will take them down to police headquarters to get reports from them.

The suspect fled the scene in what is believed to be a small, red 4-door car.

The case is under the investigation at this moment.
