Hyundai finally gave the Sonata a facelift for 2024. All while using a distinct Expressive new front end as well as a new and improved powertrain lineup. Additionally, the 1.6-liter engine isn’t available anymore, while the base 2.5-liter four-cylinder has been able to pair itself with all-wheel drive, as it’s a beginning step for the Sonata.
In addition, the cabin happened to be upgraded with two standard 12.3 inch screens that also utilize a clean design with plenty of straight lines. It was only back in March that we were able to see the new and improved Hyundai Sonata, where the South Korean automaker had been able to show off the sedan for the home market. At this point, Hyundai is looking forward to launching the 2024 Sonata in the USA, with many more sharp looks, as well as a bigger screen and even a choice in all-wheel-drive for the first in forever.
Sonata is essentially the same as the Korean model, with a brand-new front end that gets protected by a full-width LED strip that is raised above a chiseled bumper. The rear light bar itself has a new design with all the LEDs coming together to form an “H.” All while it shows a connection between the sedan and the brand-new 2024 Santa Fe. The N Line, itself, also has a rear-lip spoiler and oval exhaust tips while there are also three fresh wheel designs all over the lineup.
What’s the most impressive thing about this AWD Sonata?
Well, that would have to be how the horsepower has vastly improved. Notice the 191-horsepower coming through with naturally aspirated 2.5-liter inline-four engine at the base model. All while the 2.5-liter is paired well with the all-wheel-drive, which happens to be a new development for the Sonata family. All while, the Hybrid model comes in with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder pair with the electric motor generating a total of 192 horsepower.
